make up blog 1

this is a make up blog so i will just talk about my favorit unit that we did. i think that funnest unit that we did is the current unit, mystery and suspence. i lke this unit because we are not only reading mystery stories but we are watching movies that have to do wih mystery and suspence. one of the movies we watched was the illusionist i especially liked that movie because outside of it being a movie for the unit it was a good and intertaining movie

Last week of school

the unit we are doing now in english is very funny and entertaining. i liked watching the movie "when a stranger calls" that movie was hilarious the other thing i like about this unit is the mystery, everything we read/watch is never predictable and i like guessing what the twist is. i hope when we get back to school we can watch more movies and try to find the twist

this week in english

this week in English class we are still talking about human rights and my group had to read an article on a group of students trying to make a gsa club (gay straight alliance) and when the students made their club it led to alot of violence through out the school. another thing we did this week is watch a movie on the war where the took away alot of human rights by putting people in concentration camps which didn't allow them to eat, be with their family or have any fee time to them selves.

this week in english class we started reading about te days days of slavery. we ave read two different stories all from different parts of the world and now we are watching a movie called "the great debaters". so far i like the movies becaue its interesting educational and kinda funny. i look forward to coming to english so we can finish watching the movie. the biggest thing im looking forward to tis week is thanksgiving.

this week in english

this week in english we started reading a new book called 12 angry men. so far i like the book and its very funny. the book is about a kid who killed his father by stabbing him in the chest but 12 jurors are debating on if he is guilty or non guilty. personally i dont think hes guilty but i will have to wait and see.
another thing i started this week was basketball tryouts im having fun with that but i cant wait till monday to see the team

this week in english we finished reading to kill a mocking bird, and we finished watching the movie. when we first started reading this book i was thinkin about what the title ment and i couldnt figure it out but now i understand what the title means, "To kill a mocking bird" means that u commit a sin because mocking birds dont do harm all they do is sing and tom robinson in the book was killed for trying to help someone so the title related to him. after we finished the book and movie we took our test over it and i think i did good on it.
another good thing that happened this week is football season is over witch means basketball season starts. and i got the new kid cudi cd lol. ( i wont be in class tomorrow because i have challenge day)

The week of the essay

this week in english we had to work on our essay. this essay had to be about a court case. i choose to make my essay about O.J Simpson because it has to do with sports and i thought it would be easier to do. when i was in the middle of writing my essay i noticed that it wasnt as long as its supposed to be, so its gonna be harder than i thought. on monday october 4th our final essay is due. i think my essay is good but its way to short so i hope we have time in class to work because i need help on what else i should add to my essay to make it longer
